Josh Peters is an award-winning sound designer and composer based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). He is known for his meticulously detailed ambiences, his intense psychological sound design, and his melancholic electronic scores. With a background in electroacoustic music and sound art, he brings a unique and imaginative approach to post-production sound.
Josh’s work spans across narrative film, documentary, video art and installation. Notable credits include music and sound design for Mad Rush (2026), sound design for A River in the Middle of the Sky (2023), and sound design for Skin Shade Night Day (2022). In 2025, he won the AFTRS craft award at Sydney Film Festival for his score and sound design on the short film Faceless.
